Heath House

Heath House is a striking contemporary family residence designed by Ström Architects. A sympathetic landscape design integrates house and garden and links them to the wider context and history of the heath.

The concept is of a contemporary woodland glade, which grounds the house in its landscape. Large planting beds in front of the pool building and to the south boundary are densely planted with perennials and grasses. This gives a sense of being immersed in the landscape, and offers year-round seasonal interest and biodiversity. 

An open expanse of lawn is surrounded by a tapestry of woodland edge planting and trees. Low retaining walls to the east and the south allow for a level area to be created for play, relaxation, eating and entertaining: a beautiful home that is the product of a thousand well-detailed parts.
